Description
These Epoxy coated grade N42 neodymium square magnet are small but strong magnets that has an additional epoxy coating on top of the standard nickel-copper-nickel to provide better resistant to water and rust. The black epoxy top coat might make this neodymium magnet appearance similar to weaker ferrite magnets, hence do note that these are Not Ferrite Magnet just because it is black colour. Each piece is 8mm square with a thickness of 3mm overall measurement inclusive of the epoxy coating.
The additional epoxy coating on these magnets offer better protection against water, rain or humid which will cause normal nickel-copper-nickel plated neodymium magnets to rust in a few weeks.
While epoxy coating does offer better water resistance and endure wet environment much better, the coating may still be compromised if submerged or subjected to harsh conditions over prolong period of time.
