Titan Magnetics latest QuikTab VHB Neodymium Magnets sticks well to most clean, hard and smooth surfaces like Glass, Ceramic Tiles, Aluminum, Wood, Stainless Steel and even painted Concrete Walls.
The last surface, Concrete Wall is a challenge for normal adhesive due to slight uneven surface that greatly reduces the contact with pressure sensitive adhesive. The 3M VHB Foam adhesive with a 0.4mm thickness transverse the uneven gaps to form a mould that allows greater contact area with concrete surface when firm pressure is applied. Furthermore, 3M 4290 is a closed cell acrylic foam that is elastic and doesn’t tear easily compared to normal foam adhesive.
3M VHB 4290 acrylic foam thickness of 0.4mm allows the neodymium magnet to adhere relatively well on smooth painted concrete walls.
For standard magnets without adhesive, polarity doesn’t really matters as you can always flip a magnet around if it repel.
But on these rectangle neodymium magnets where 1 side is adhesive, it makes a great difference because if you stick a North facing on the wall and also a North facing on an object, eg. a remote controller, you will not be able to attach the remote control to the wall as North and North will repel.
Facing pairs magnets: 2pcs adhesive on North, 2pcs adhesive on South means you can use these magnets in more ways.

Concrete walls with slight uneven surface pose a great challenge to standard adhesive, the 0.4mm foam thickness of 3M VHB 4920 allows the adhesive surface to “mould” in to the peaks and valleys of concrete surface for maximum grip.
This acrylic foam base adhesive also reduce vibration and shock when used on vehicles or areas with movement, hence reduced the chance of objects that are magnetically attached from dropping due to sudden shock.
This super magnet is also suitable as a replacement or enhanced wheel magnet sensor trigger for bicycle computer speedometer/odometer/RPM/cadence sensor. Tested by a few customers who feedback to us that the magnet that came with bicycle computer or odometer for screwing on to the spokes of bicycle wheel usually doesn’t work very well unless you reduce the gap between sensor and magnets to below 5mm. The solution is to stick this super magnet to the rim of bicycle wheel. Tried and tested, this super magnet with 3M VHB adhesive usually works on first try! not to mention that it is a neater and more durable solution than the original screw on magnet.

3M VHB 4290 Adhesive Instructions for strong, permanent adhesion:
• Clean surface with alcohol swap
• Dry surface with clean cloth
• Remove 3M VHB wax paper (Avoid touching the adhesive surface.)
• Apply firm pressure for 30 seconds to ensure maximum adhesion
• Leave to cure for at least 1hr before use. (Best to leave it for 24 hours for best results, to allow VHB compound to seep into cavity)
