🔑 Our customer Jeanne shared with us the photo of her keychain dropped thru the grill of a drain. Once again, the photo was important as it allow Titan Magnetics to gauge the size and weight of object to retrieve and also the size of magnet to use as the gap between grill is quite small.
Hence we recommended using dia. 16mm Hook magnet 🧲 with a fishing line to pass thru the gap and get to the key chain metal ring, which from our experience should be ferrous metal that will be attracted to magnet. The dia. 16mm hook magnet which have a maximum pull force of 2kg would have no problem picking up the keychain even with a very small contact point.
Jeanne tied a single piece of hook magnet to the fishing line and secured it with additional sticky tape to ensure the hook magnet doesn’t fall off.
🎣With her skillful aim and steady maneuver, she managed to rescue her keychain from a depth of over a meter deep drain. Great job!
Proof of a successful keychain rescue was in the subsequent photos that she shared with us with the keychain attached to the hook magnet, safe and sound.
