Description
Long Thin Rectangle Neodymium Magnet – 100 x 10 x 3mm, Grade N35
Long rectangle neodymium magnets N35, a.k.a. rare earth magnets are good for projects where magnetic holding force are needed in long, narrow spaces.
Although all neodymium magnets share the same characteristic of strong magnetic attraction force and brittle nature, which sometimes causes them to break on high impact collision with another magnet or even metal objects, some shapes and sizes are more prone to breakage than others. This very long and slim shaped rectangle magnet is among the type that breaks quite easily. Due to its length with a narrow and thin shape. Its thickness of 3mm means that this magnet has relatively strong pull force compared to other magnets with 2mm or less thickness. Hence, do take care when separating or handling neodymium magnets, always holding each piece firmly such that the separated piece does not accidentally slip from your hands and “jump” back to collide with the remaining stack of magnets.
The magnet tendency to break is greatly reduced once the magnet is installed/secured/glued to a base or better still, covered with duct tape/fabric/thin cardboard as these material will soften the impact by reducing/absorbing some of the forces.
Below: Stacking 3 pieces of 50cents coins on top of each other edges, thanks to the magnetic holding strength of neodymium magnets, it is possible without much balancing skill.
Rectangle shaped N35 Rare Earth Magnets are strong magnet but is fragile and brittle, good for attaching to flat metal surface & science project experiment
Each pack contains 1 piece of rectangle neodymium magnet.
