Titan Magnetics plastic sealed disc neodymium magnet is suitable for use in wet areas as the neodymium magnet is fully encased in plastic. It is much more durable in wet environment compared to our standard triple coating of nickel, copper and nickel, and it can even be fully submerged in water.

A. No, although it is definitely more durable due to the added plastic coating, depending on the environment or liquid, plastic coating attached outdoor will get brittle that will results in small cracks that will compromise the coating. This is especially so when subjected to daily sunlight and changes in temperature, the colour will also fade due to natural UV exposure.
Q. Is this magnet as strong as standard neodymium magnets?
A. The strength of plastic coated magnet vs regular neodymium magnets of the same size and grade will be weaker due to the gap caused by the thickness of plastic coating.
Q. What is the maximum operating temperature of plastic coated magnets?
The maximum temperature for the outer plastic coating is 70°c while neodymium max temperature is 80°c.
